Chachy of Round Eye
Round Eye, the experimental freak punk outfit have accrued quite a loud and controversial name for themselves since forming in 2012. The Shanghai based group have shown no mercy nor fatigue in sound development or work ethic and have as of late been a crucial force in bridging a wide gap between the eastern and western hemispheres of punk rock. Along with blazing a gnarly trail all over the globe (USA, Mexico, S. Korea, Japan) they’ve toured the mainland of China a number of times and have played host to visiting western groups and some legends as well.
They’ve shared stages with western groups such as D.O.A., The FUs, Paul Collins Beat, M.O.T.O., Ceremony, and Iceage, eastern groups such as P.K.14,SMZB and Misandao during a tour with UK punk legends The Boys.
They’ve won the “Best Local Band” title from Shanghai’s City Weekend magazine two years in a row. They’ve released two music videos (one starring famed Chinese actress Wang Lin) and honed their unconventional blend of 50s R&B and Punk with a critically acclaimed EP “Full Circle” on Ripping/Genjing Records which featured Greg Ginn (Black Flag) and have drawn comparisons to the Stooges, Dr. Feelgood and The Fall. Currently, they are set to drop their eponymous LP Round Eye which features saxophonist Steve Mackay (Stooges/Violent Femmes) andR. Stevie Moore in June with a tour of the US with Mr. Clit and the Pink Cigarettes set to begin in July to promote it.

Zig At The Gig with Richard X Heyman
After debuting his DIY EP Actual Size and the full-length album Living Room!!, RXH was signed to Cypress/A&M who re-released Living Room!! His second major label album, Hey Man!, came out on Sire/Warner Bros. Next was his third album Cornerstone on Permanent Press Recordings. All subsequent releases have been on RXH's own Turn-Up Records - Basic Glee, Heyman Hoosier & Herman, Rightovers, Actual Sighs, Intakes, Tiers, And Other Stories, X, Y, Incognito and Pop Circles. For those of you unfamiliar with RXH's music, it might help to list his influences. One can hear traces of early rock'n'roll, 60's British Invasion groups, American folk rock, west coast pop, Motown; even some Broadway and classical baroque find their way into the mix, but it all ends up bearing his singular sound. He has not only played with The Doughboys, but has also lent his drumming chops to Link Wray, Brian Wilson, Mark Lindsay, The Left Banke's Michael Brown and Steve Martin Caro, and Jonathan Richman, among others. As a guitarist, he performed with Mary Weiss of the Shangri-Las, and played keyboards with Ben E. King. Copious Notes will be released on Turn-Up Records on June 18, 2021.

Zig At The Gig with Kristian Hoffman of The Mumps
Kristian Hoffman released his fourth solo album, "Fop", on Kayo Stereophonic Records, in September 2010. It was met with overwhelming critical praise, making it one of the best reviewed albums of the year. A sample review from the highly regarded Magnet Magazine: "Hoffman’s latest solo LP is Fop (Kayo Stereophonic), and it’s a 17-song masterpiece sure to blow your mind." More journalist response is available on the official Kristian Hoffman Press Page. Kristian Hoffman ran away from his boyhood home in Santa Barbara, California, to New York City where he and his high school friend, Lance Loud, formed a band, Mumps. This was quite soon after both had made dramatic appearances in what is now known as "the first reality T.V. series: PBS' award winning "An American Family".
